It’s a Barrel Full of Monkeys (and a Bumble Bee) Day!
The question is, am I referring to The Toys, The Puppies or both?
lol

The goal is to switch up what is happening in the Whelping box every day now that they are all seeing more clearly. Call it Puppy Enrichment. Not only is it new toys to climb on or under, but where the bed is and where the potty-stations are located are also switched up. The potty-stations remain in close proximity to the dog bed as they are usually required a step or two away after waking up. The goal is to get them accidentally using them now so that they can use them on purpose once they have more square footage to toddle in.

I also try to have them experience something new each day. Right now the toys are new to them but that will at some point end in being familiar. So when I reset the Whelping Box this morning, they got to hang out in a Rubbermaid tub for a while. Yesterday it was a laundry basket. Tomorrow may be a cardboard box.
It’s another experience and “view” that goes to conditioning these puppies early and helping them to be resilient. “Same-old-same-old sheltered and predictable” does not make one very adaptable to change regardless of the species.

Many thanks to the folks who donated their kids used toys to my puppy project. It’s nice to have enough in the Tickle Trunk to keep a healthy rotation without the need for many repeats very often.

I must say that after I took the photo of everyone passed out in a milk-coma around Peaches it reminded me of the Frat House carnage after a keg party!!
