A new cabana structure with a hanging mobile was enjoyed by all today. I was surprised to find Peaches hanging out under it a lot too which made me thing she was wishing she was on a beach somewhere sipping a cocktail, lol. Me too, Peaches. Me too.
We had a visit from a couple of loverly aunties today… Ashley and Sarah. Puppies settled in and Peaches seems to be catching the visitor groove as there were zero concerns from her whatsoever.
I am so pleased that while she’s a mother that is concerned about her babies, she has never displayed any over-the-top protective neuroses. I have to think that this relaxed, balanced behaviour means that she is feeling safe and secure in the environment I have created for her and her babies. I think we are ready to start taking down some of the privacy blinds and barriers I erected so that Romeo and Lucky can start to participate in this group-effort-child-rearing project, even if only at a distance. They have been making it quite clear that THEY are ready to help… we will see if the rest of the family agrees.
Ashley and Sarah also saved the day today as I did a face-plant onto their laps and the couch they were sitting on. Fortunately no puppy or person was injured in my oopsie other than perhaps my pride. Lol. Thanks for the assistance and the laughs, ladies!
