A lot of registered breeders like using litter themes in naming their puppies. Not only is it fun but it is super useful to us as it helps us remember who was littermates with who as well as who the parents are without having to look up pedigrees.
The people on my list who were waiting for puppies were mostly wanting girls. Wouldn’t you know it? Four boys. I was getting my head wrapped around disappointing many people but I was convinced we might have had at least some variety in colour. But as they started growing up and colours started coming it, it was clear that Mother Nature did not just give me four boys but FOUR RED BOYS! To be clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with red Australian Cattle Dogs. But when we do a blue x red breeding we are hoping for and expecting VARIETY.
But they were healthy.
And they had great personalities.
And they were fabulous in so many ways.
So in an effort to embrace all of their glorious REDness and uplift them into their fullest potential they became
THE REEL RED SUPERHEROES
…and life was never the same again.
