The boys made it through last night together in the 4×8 but without Peaches nor I with ringside seats. It was peculiar to sleep in my own bed for the first night in 36 days. I reviewed the highlights on the WyzeCam to find that they partied around 1:40am and again at 3:55am, each time for about 30 minutes. What was great is that they all entertained themselves quietly and then returned to sleep…
No screaming. No crying. No carrying on.
Three solid meals have been had today along with some well received treats. Tomorrow we begin clicker training! They still attempt to nurse but Peaches is becoming a little more firm in the periodic “Knock it off!” message. They are becoming keen meaty & rib bone eaters… it’s time to step up those teeth on some chicken necks tomorrow!
Lucky & Peaches got to spend some 2:1 time with each of their kids today. It’s so great to see them co-parent. lol. And it is clear that little Barry has become extra special to Lucky — They have such a sweet relationship.
We spent some time in the back yard today frolicking in the snow. Yesterday’s dead grass experience was the SW facing front yard — still plenty of snow in the sheltered NE back yard.
I was pleased and surprised with their stamina. They traveled in a laundry basket with a blanket and I took a small dog bed out as well. Both were freely accessible in case there was a need for toes to take a break from the cold. There was lots of sniffing and a little bit of snow eating. We were outside for almost 20 minutes… and it was self regulated by an impromptu Safety Meeting of Superheroes back in the laundry basket.
Everyone had a big nap when they got inside but I’m quite sure they are still going to sleep well tonight… though Tony should probably book in for a massage with me tomorrow if he keeps up these napping positions!
