This is yet another example of why I love Lucky so much! He takes his Daddy Daycare job quite seriously… and he’s proving to be damn good at it!!

The boys had their first ride in the truck today. It started out a little bit dramatic but ended on a nice quiet, sleepy note. I’ll suggest it was evidence that we need to do a little more truck conditioning in the next few weeks.
We spent some time charging up the clicker today. This means clicking and rewarding to teach the puppies that the two are connected. Our sessions were short (<5 minutes) and I’ve shared just a few minutes of the end of our training. We did the training in the bathroom because it’s a small room with little to distract the puppies. This was our before breakfast training so we are being serenaded by the rest of the siblings which, in and of itself, became a little distracting.
My chipping away at the ice and snow has paid off and more and more of the yard is exposed each day. The area around my Nanking Cherry bush is kinda muddy but presented a fun thing to play around and get muddy near. My red puppies were a little blackened by the time they were done frolicking:
