Last night was night #6 for individual crates at bed time as we started with purpose on Monday last week. Monday required two potty breaks at 1:30am and 4:00am. And six nights later, we had 7.5 hours of continuous sleep! The transition to solo sleeping and comfort in the crates has been pretty seamless — I’m more than delighted.
In between my clinical schedule we had some more back yard adventures, a visit from a family of four with teenage kids, more clicker training and fun playtime with Zipper the Cat.

Going up stairs has been mastered. While I’d prefer they not go down the stairs just yet, these little monkeys sometimes beat me there and manage in their own. I installed some newly acquired and better functioning baby gates than what I have been using this evening. This should prevent untimely downward momentum on the basement stairs much easier than the old one.
Each day I look at these babies and I see they’re almost not babies anymore. They’re becoming confident, independent and, at times, opinionated little dogs. I’m super excited to see what lives they will lead as they leave here. The possibilities are endless…
