Today was a busy clinical day for me with puppy time fitting around it nicely. Raising puppies from birth is plenty of work but it is at this age where the demand escalates with these little sponges.
We began the day with some sheep and a sniff walk – the puppies are certainly becoming bolder. Each of them have some nice moments in this highlight reel. Peter remains consistent in trying to collect the old, visually impaired, slightly senile black sheep that tends to wander away from the flock. Shazam likes to gather stragglers too however is not specifically fixated on any one in particular. And Tony, who has been hiding behind his brothers’ forward nature with the sheep, suddenly has some confidence and made some bold moves of his own. So overall, it was a successful sheep tour.
Being so warm I set up the pool again and it was very well received. I put the agility table next to it thinking there might be a “mini dock diving” opportunity. Tony eyeballed it, attempted but chose an outside-pool exit strategy in the end.
In the last ten days of Kiba/Barry’s time here, he slept in my room with the big dogs in a full sized crate — something new to get used to. Tonight the other three Heroes have the same transition. I’m hoping that with me sleeping in sight they might overlook the early wake up call I have been getting lately. Don’t get me wrong, I am very pleased that they are sleeping through the night but it would be nice to extend the wake up call just a bit.
