Epigentics are traits that are handed down from parent to offspring beyond their DNA. Influences include temperament and behavior, performance in working or sporting roles and response to training and stress. I am always fascinated by examples that pop up as I observe my dogs especially when they are a bit silly.
There was about two months in 2022 when I had Lucky training in the dog sport of Tracking. Part of the initial training included using my own dirty socks out in the field which were purposely placed along a track I laid for Lucky to follow. As he found each sock along the way, we would have a big celebration for his success. Prior to this time, Lucky did not care about socks in the house however once we started tracking he would bring me socks ALL THE TIME! Now, check out this photo of another shifty-eyed Sock Thief in the house:

Lucky’s influence on Tony is not limited to just socks…
While Lucky is a very soft boy, he is no pushover and is certainly capable of parenting his kids well. I cannot recall exactly what transpired between the two of them, however it did turn out to be a “Teachable Moment” for Tony!
And then we just have a simple gallery of very photogenic Superheroes…
