So… I think one of the testaments to whether you did things right as a breeder is when you get to see a puppy you placed again.
Does the puppy run and hide behind their owners legs, scared you’ve come to take them away from their new family?
OR
Does the puppy jump up in your arms and whine with delight, licking your face, wrecking your hairdo?
I was so fortunate to reunite with Peter (with Kris & Skye) at Dr Laura Taylor’s (vet osteo) today. Delighted to report that our reconnection was as described in the latter scenario after 3.5 weeks since he left. I know he is SO HAPPY in his new home and he was SO HAPPY to see me today… I’m grateful he feels that way about all of us! I should also say that when he calmed down after our initial meeting in the lobby, he reclaimed 7 year old Skye as the person he wanted to stand beside.

This is not shocking as it seems they have a very special connection.
Today was a general wellness treatment with Dr Laura. Peter is co-owned so I invited him to be a part of the appointment. He had a few things going on and seemed to appreciate the appointment (notice him seeming to relax and nod off through it in the photos).
It sounds like he will start coming this direction for herding lessons in the fall sometime so I will be seeing him some more. Thank you to Jeremy and his family for taking good care of our Spider-Man and bringing him to Calgary today!
