In between my clinical schedule we included another trip in the Luxury Wagon but this time to Petsmart. We checked out the birds but those noses sure know when you’re in the bone aisle! They were a well behaved bunch with exception to that time when Barry nearly escaped from under the net while I was paying.
And after work Jerry & Karena Miller (Tiny Dancer Miniature Bull Terriers) and their singleton , “Winn” came over for a play date. He’s just 5 weeks to the Heroes’ 7 weeks but held his own in the Red Sea of Curiosity. Overall the ACDs were welcoming and courteous… I think speculating as to whether he was a little white sheep maybe?? Winn is a delightful little boy who truly is not afraid of much. He explored much of Playtopia and even tried some of the stability equipment without the need for any encouragement. He was a superstar!
It’s tough raising a singleton and trying to be that puppy’s everything. I know this first hand as Peach-Pie was a singleton and in the middle of COVID shut downs! I was so grateful to have had Peaches hang out a few times with Carol Gordon and her WR Aussies Litter that was just week younger than her as she learned some social graces. So I was quite happy to offer Winn some temporary siblings and give him an honorary membership in the ACD Club at our house.
