Lucky has been such a blessing to my breeding program.  Where most ACDs are really headstrong this boy is very much a partner and easy to train.  He responds best to subtle pressure.   His highest currency is love and praise followed by toys and then food.  Lucky is a wonderful cuddle-bug.  He is respectful of other species like cats and chickens.  He is a wonderful asset to have around as puppies are growing up — willing to play gently but also keeping them safe and collected when playing in the yard.  Though I am describing a somewhat softer boy, he is certainly not a pushover!

He LOVES to work with sheep and goats.  He has a natural bend around livestock that many ACDs lack.  He covers livestock beautifully and is willing and able to work independently when he understands the task at hand.  He trialled in 2022 from 14-16 months of age and earned his Herding Started Sheep title, a High in Trial, a Reserve High in Trial and finished the year #4 ACD in CKC Herding in Canada.  We paused our trialing simply due to some of my own life circumstances and plan to hit the ground running in 2026.  

He has a natural knack for tracking which we have trained in though not tested as of yet — Tracking tests are not offered often in our area.  He has titles in Herding, Scent Detection, Obedience, Rally Obedience and Trick Dog which has earned him a CKC Versatility Excellent title.
